19th May 2009 From Benton Harbour MI to Huron OH

Today we travelled from Lake Michigan to Lake Erie, coming very close to the Canadian border. We also passed through Detroit on our way to visit old acquaintances at Eagle Ottawa Global Headquarters. I was actually very lucky to meet up with both Steve’s as I just drove in blind without fixed appointments too see them. It was great seeing them both again. We caught on some stories and talked economy and automotive industry a bit, but then we had to continue on our Journey. We finally made it to a place called Huron on Lake Erie where we found a nice hotel right on the waterfront to do some fishing. Unfortunately we did not get any fish, but witnessed some guys catching some nice walleyes on grubs.

Had to take the pic to prove we drove through KVD's hometown. After playing a new addictive game the night before until 3o'clock in the morning, the addiction forced to desperate measures to continue playing. Busy with homework! We see quite a lot of deer that are killed on the roads. Other roadkill regulars are Possums, Racoons and Coyotes. Here you can see the condition of some of the roads, terrible! A nice lake setting on the outskirts of Detroit. After 5 years leaving Eagle Ottawa, I finally visit its HQ. A building in Detroit, is this where the Automotive Industry is leading?
