Yesterday after the weigh in, a heavy thunderstorm pulled through the area, cooling everything down by about 12 degrees. The amount of water that came down also did not help. So this morning when leaving for the ramp, bad weather was still evident, a strong wind blowing and rainclouds above. Met the Pro and he looked alright, but when I looked him up previously on the net, I saw that he had only caught two fish the previous day. We got going and ran 45 minutes up river, which was completely brown, but we had to fish. So after 2 hours of nothing except a large rock, I finally hooked a keeper, but just size. That was it for me,caught two more small fish then zip. Unfortunately the Pro had to make up for the previous day, so he locked onto my pattern, but protected every treetop and took the odd fish off them, keeping me blindsided and only giving up the cover when he was through. But that he woes of a co-angler.
