29 June 2009 From Myrtle Beach North to Hilton Head Island SC.

We are finally moving down towards Florida, myrtle Beach is the Durban of America during June and the holidays, everybody goes to the beach there and prices soar during the two weeks around Independence day 4th of July. We did however find a bargain Hotel on an Island to the South of South Carolina which will be our stop before going back to Orlando Florida, which is currently the cheapest to stay. We also tried to make contact with Amelia’s uncle Vernon, but he was not available to see us. Hilton head Island is a beautiful island of the coast of South Carolina. We will check out the beach tomorrow.

Our stylish room in the Holiday Inn Newly revamped and stylish. The marina just outside the hotel Some beautiful Yachts here

The beach was a lot less congested today. The sand was so hot you could hardly walk on it. 26 –28 June 2009 Myrtle Beach 2009

We decide to head to the beach again to spend a week or two at the beach whilst surfing the net and checking out business opportunities. One mistake with this idea is that it is Independence day week and prime holiday time. we are still lucky to get some hotels below the holiday rate, but this means we are hopping from hotel to hotel. It beats paying $150 – $200 per night.

his guy towed his canoe behind him at 70 mph, either they go BIG or tiny. These guys were moving house? Three more hungry mouths to feed for someone. Our Htel in Florence SC. The same by day Look at the pipes on this truck!!!!! Biker chicks for the guys

25 June 2009 Dollywood in Pigeon Forge TN

Today was a two family outing to Dollywood, which is the Disneyworld of Tennessee, named after the famous Country Singer Dolly Parton. This was for the kids as there are plenty of rides and activities for the kids. And because it was summer holidays the “Kids Fest” was on with plenty of live shows for the kids. One of the highlights for our kids was to see the Kratt Brothers from the TV show “Zaboomafoo” We taped every single episode when they were toddlers and they watched them until Video was out of fashion.

Then there were the rides like the Tennessee Tornado, Mystic Mine and six more major Roller Coasters. In the heat wave we were also happy that there were lots of water activities to cool down. I will not bore you with more details, as I think the photos will speak for themselves.

DSC04941Here they only issued us four tickets by accident. But a susual we are very lucky and we were given a free ticket for one of the kids.
