13 July 2009 We start to chase the fun rides.

We decided to go to Bush gardens in Tampa as there are two shows we have not seen yet and I might convince myself to tackle the “Sheikra”. Initially we encounter traffic on the way there and all plans to be there early are shattered and we only arrive there at 10h40. So off to the Lorikeet cage we go so the kids can interact with the birds. From there we watched a brilliant animal show called the Castaway Critters. In the meantime I sussed out Sheikra and convinced myself that I am too s(*^t  scared to do it. A least Michelle plucked up the courage to start riding the bigger coasters and actually rode the Gwazi with us (Sven did not like these and did not join after the first time.) We also rode the Montu again which is great fun. The heat was getting to us so we drove back to Orlando and rest awhile before going back to Seaworld to challenge the Manta caster and watching the Shamu Rocks show.

All I can say is what great fun. The Manta must be one of the most fun rides yet, floating in a Hang glider position and swooping through the air. The animal show was also great, but once again “Shamu” was the pick of the day with his show. The vibe and sound and visuals were so spectacular, the pictures do not do it justice, but I have the whole show on video.

In the Lorikeet aviary Can I ever keep her away from the parrots? A piece of Africa, a Hamerkop Sven with a lorikeet The show where Animals are the main characters A crowned african crane The cocatoo putting a flower in a vase The Mahe again. A rare animal, a bearcat. A condor was also in the show. A dog and a skipping rope. This Macaw played dead They even trained a porcupine My favorite stars A beautiful red Macaw that was free flying, someting I still want to teach Jungle Boy 17 Spending time with the stars Michell with the main actors. Sven did not wnt to re-enact the Seychelles adventure! Unfortunately the Rapids were closed for the day. Waiting in line like with many rides. This was a show where the cosumes dominate everything. Water, water , in this heat we drank a lot. Traded my hair for a football We all did the grumpy Sven look. A sandpit for kids where they cn excavate egyptian artifacts. Trying to convince Sven to ride the Kumba. Walk with an erection This was the Montu authentic feel After a long day, the kids got hungry, and th We got then Turkey legs, tasted just like Eisbein. After Bush Gardens got to full we moved over t Sea World to watch the "Shamu Rocks" and took pur chance to ride the Manta. 37 The all new Manta which straps you in like a Hang glider We took our chances. but it was worth it. 39 Another animal show for Michelle's sake 44 43 A cat on the high wire act. Then it was time for Shamu Rocks ! Killing time before the show with glowsicks. There was a great vibe with the big screen Great rock music, part of the show. Then they do the show 54 The lighting and sound was brilliant. The soloist with Van Halens "Girl i'm going to get you now" Getting ready for the finale. And an great end to this show. On the way we still watched the spectacular fireworks. 65 The end to a wonderful day.
