12 April 2009 Easter Sunday on our way to Phoenix AZ

Today we left the Campgrounds after a good nights sleep, except for the Mexican party next door that lasted till 23h00. A beautiful drive through the Arizona dessert countryside.

Again we found one of our Quests in Bass Pro Shops in Mesa, where the kids were treated to an Easter-egg hunt in the store, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

P4120106 Beautiful Cacti as I always will remember the Arizona dessert A massive feedlot for cattle in the dessert. What was interesting about this feedlot was the fans with water sprinklers to cool the cattle against the hot Arizona sun. P4120125 Unfortunately one cannot see thanice cacti that grow here, but this looks like a typical scene from a western movie.

A beatiful blue sky after the storm clouds from the previous evening. Dessert and more dessert These are the same big Cacti, but this is what they look like after they die off. Bass Pro Shops Mesa AZ Easter egs were hidden all over the place in the 5 departments and the kids had to solve a questionaire and find 5 eggs for a reward. A mountain lion This is a mount of the pending world record Grizzley Bear. The skull diameter was 28 inches Look how greedy the Bass get in th USA. This was agenuine Largemouth trying to floor a Smallie. A Tundra
