11 April 2009 On our way to Lake Roosevelt dam in Arizona

After wasting time in Nevada, we finally have to move on so today we decide to take the route down to Phoenix Arizona, but halfway there we find Lake Havasu and seeing that it was getting late we look for a place to pitch camp for the night. The first two campsites are full ,but then we find Buckskin Mountain State park on the Colorado river and it looks good, we just hope it does not rain tonight.

Gardens in the dessert, note no green (grass) But still the houses look nice and the area fine to live in.

This was London bridge resort on the Colorado river, complete with the london bridge an English buildings. This picture is specially for my friend Niekie in Swaziland. See they even modify the Golf carts with higher suspension and bigger tyres. Typical Arizona country side Our campsite P4110080 One thing about the American State Parks. They are clean, everything works, they are cheap and safe. They have hands on cultural exhibits. Nice gardens for info. The river and lakes are on your tents doorstep. The childrens playgrounds are clean and not vandalised. 300 P4110100
