30 March 2009 Las Vegas on foot

After our drive along the strip we decide to take a closer look the following day, we experience all the Hotels  up close and personal. This was a lot of walking, but well worth the effort. You can only experience the vibe when you have breathed it.

Still in Vegas, but now we move to another Hotel and Casino, on the Boulders Strip. But before we go there we discover the Lake Mead activity centre where the kids can play with nature articles and learn about the Hoover dam and the geology around it.

This is all part of the home schooling process.

27 & 28 March 2009 Viva La Vegas

After a good nights sleep after the arduous drive, we made our way back  the Hotel Casino we saw on our way into Vegas in Boulder City that advertised rooms at $19.95 per night. This was nearly as cheap as camping,so we booked ourselves two nights in this Hotel as the weather was still not good to camp. So today and tomorrow we will explore Vegas. We have taken a lot of pictures, but we can only post a few. The weather will still be bad so we will stay another two days in another Hotel as they are quite cheap during the week. We also completed another Bass Pro shops visit where we saw a 20lbs Bass up close hitting a lure and a Bass Chopper built by those guys from American Chopper (OCC).

We will explore the strip up closer in those two days.
