Fathers day on West coast

What better way to spend Fathers day than at the beach, relaxing and fishing and snorkeling and Kayaking. I was asked to pick a place to spend my day, so I Google earthed my favorite spot and it turned out to be De Soto Beach and piers on the Gulf. All that was required to play along was the weather and it did not disappoint. We had sunny and hot day (our tomato bodies attest to this today) even after putting on SPF 30 three times.

We did not catch large fish, but at least Sven hooked int a large stingray that he struggled to land and came off after a ten minute battle.

Whilst snorkeling we also found various interesting items, like live sand dollars, Spanish dancer slug and large living Conch snail.

All in all a wonderful day. Thanks to my family for this special day.
