Fishing Shingle Creek in Kissimmee Florida

After a hectic day yesterday, getting house and business organized we decided to have some downtime this weekend. Luckily there is Shingle creek recreation area not more than 3 miles from the hotel and we found a nice pond with some huge Bass. We saw a female on a nest 5lb plus, but she refuses to take anything presented at this stage. However Sven caught 3, Michi caught a nice 2 lb'er and I was blessed with a 4,4 lb fish.

Our secret method still delivering every time.

First cast again.

2kg (4.4lb) caught on Berkley Burly Bug

1kg +

Michelle used her net and caught plenty of small minnows (Perfect live bait soon)

This Bass was pitch black from living in the dark tannin coloured creek water.

Michelle caught this Craw daddy with her net.

We also visited the Kissimmee history museum and visitor center, and as everywhere in the states we are amazed at the quality of exhibits and that it is free.
