Hunting houses and sporadic fishing

During our house hunting session, we also looked for place to fish from the side and we found this nice spot along a channel between Lake Louisa and Lake Minnehaha in Lake County.

Weekend of slowing down a bit

This weekend we took it a little easier by looking for areas to fish from the side. We found a place, but it was a little sketchy if you come from South Africa (if you know what I mean). However all turned out well and Michi, Michelle and myself all caught a Bass.

We also spent some time in Bass Pro Shops again to see if we could fix the front eye of Michi's G-Loomis that was damaged by Virgin Atlantic.

Then it was back to the Hotel to catch up on news, Skype and look for Properties to rent or buy. And the kids are on team speak with their friends in RSA.

Interesting stuff around Orlando

Whilst fishing Amelia and Michelle took a long stroll along the shores of Lake Toho and took some lovely photos of monuments in the area.

Another interesting object found was the driver covers for Golf clubs which were very funny.

Our new car for 2013

This is it!  Our Ford Expedition 4.6l  V8 Triton. It is a monster of a truck and drives like a dream. Fuel consumption is also not too bad at average 13liters / 100km, better than my old KIA.

At least I am set up to tow a boat and we can fit 8 people (5 persons plus our 15 suitcases in here)

Today we are going to look at two new businesses and their owners. Afterwards we will do some fishing in one of the local lakes again.

Another Day in Paradise

Today was a day of organisation. Get the Car ready for inspection and test drive tomorrow. I have decided on the Ford Expedition 2002 Eddie Bauer Edition. Large vehicle, but must be good enough to tow boat and move us all. From there on we looked at car for Amelia, a Chrysler Sebring convertible.

We also continued to unwind by sending some time on the shore of Lake Toho this afternoon, fish did not play along, but at least I caught 2 undersize. But beware the spawn is upon us and who knows.

Yesterday was a full day of just vehicle search. Michi and myself must have driven about 200 miles.
We found thre cars that are on the short list, but our favourite was just not going to cut it as it was a gas guzzler ( Ford Excursion V10) although well priced it would have kiled us on gas.
Today we will look at the final four cars and then to make the decision. We have a Mercedes ML320 and four Ford Expeditions lined up.

Afterwards we will spend some time on the beach with the kids at New Smyrna Beach, just to relax a bit.

Orlando 2013 Start

Finally after a long trip we finally arrived and are finding our feet.
